About the role
The Administrative Assistant provides efficient clerical and administration support to our staff and ministries to support the achievement of The Salvation Army’s mission. This includes communication to the church and public, finance support, coordination of property and equipment and general office duties. The role will also support the church to meet various legislative and governance activities.
You will successfully
- Assist with the smooth functioning of general office duties
- Be a key contact for the Corps, responding to guest, telephone, email, social media enquiries
- Assist and coordinate the administration for Corps events as requested
- Learn and utilise systems and software (texting service, Microsoft Suite, Coupa, SolveSafety, Learn, ProPresenter, etc.)
- Assist with the preparation of reports, Corps newsletter, corps calendar, social media, website and documents for Corps activities
This is a permanent part-time position, 2-3 days per week located in Port Macquarie, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with Clerks Award Level 2.
You will have
- A commitment to the Christian faith and mission of TSA is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under conflicting time pressures
- Post-secondary qualifications highly regarded
- Current driver’s licence
- A Working with Children Check
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
